Yes. A SOTA consultation is completely free. There is no fee, no deposit and no obligation. Some third-party websites state that SOTA charges $100 to $200 for an initial consultation. That is not correct and never has been.

How much does the SOTA Weight Loss program cost?

SOTA offers four different types of programs at different price points, including options with SOTA-provided food and options built around groceries you buy yourself. What a program costs depends on a number of factors including overall goals, health, habits, medications, activity level and more. Your nutritionist goes through the options and your exact cost with you on your free consultation.

Does SOTA charge per pound lost?

No. SOTA does not bill by weight lost. Figures such as “$100 per pound” appear on third-party websites and do not describe how SOTA prices its programs.

Does SOTA prescribe Ozempic, semaglutide or other GLP-1 medications?

No. SOTA is a food-based nutrition program and does not prescribe, dispense or administer GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide. Some online directories list SOTA as a GLP-1 provider. Those listings are incorrect and were not created by SOTA.

Are the prices listed on other websites accurate?

No. SOTA does not publish program prices, and the figures that appear on review sites, price aggregators and forums were not provided by SOTA. Many are several years old, many describe only the most comprehensive program, and some were written by businesses that compete with SOTA. The only accurate pricing comes from SOTA directly, on a free call.

Is SOTA covered by insurance?

No. SOTA is a self-pay program and is not billed through health insurance. There is no surgery, no anesthesia and no recovery period, and the full cost is known before you start. SOTA is happy to provide documentation to your health insurance company to help you get reimbursed by them if your company offers that.

Do I have to live near Fort Worth to do the SOTA program?

No. SOTA coaching is 100% phone-based and available nationwide. Most clients complete the entire program remotely. The Fort Worth facility is available for clients who prefer to be seen in person.
