Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about SOTA's programs, coaching, and what to expect on your journey.

About the Program

SOTA is a nutrition-based weight loss program built around real food and personalized coaching. When you enroll, you're backed by a dedicated team of nutritionists who build a custom eating plan around your body, lifestyle, and goals. You'll check in regularly with your coach — by phone or in-office — to track progress, adjust your plan, and stay on track.
Both. The active weight loss phase follows a structured nutrition plan to get you results quickly and safely. Once you reach your ideal healthy weight, we transition you into our Maintenance Phase — a lifelong program designed to help you keep the weight off, expand your food choices, and maintain your transformation permanently.
The length of your program depends on your individual goals, health, habits and how much weight you need to let go of. Your nutritionist will give you a personalized timeline during your consultation. Most clients reach their ideal healthy weight within a few months and then continue with our Maintenance Phase.

Getting Started

The first step is scheduling a free consultation call with one of our nutritionists. During that call, we'll learn about your goals, health history, and lifestyle to determine which program is the best fit for you. There's no pressure and no commitment required.
Not at all. While we do have a physical office in Fort Worth, TX, the majority of our clients are coached entirely by phone. We serve clients nationwide — wherever you are, we can help.

Results

Results vary by individual, but on average women let go of 2–3 lbs per week and men let go of 3–5 lbs per week. Your nutritionist will give you a realistic goal range based on your starting point and program tier during your consultation.
Most clients notice significant changes within the first 1–2 weeks. The program is designed for fast, consistent progress — not slow, frustrating results. Many clients report feeling more energetic and seeing visible changes very early on.

Food & Nutrition

No, not at all. Your personalized nutrition plan is designed by your nutritionist to fit your lifestyle, preferences, and goals—without rigid rules or constant calorie counting.

We use a SOTA approach that focuses on building satisfying, savory meals you'll actually look forward to eating. The emphasis is on delicious, whole-food recipes that feel like real cooking rather than "diet food." Many of our meals are so flavorful and well-balanced that you could easily host a dinner party with them, and your guests would never guess they're enjoying heart-healthy, nutrient-dense food.

The goal is simple: a sustainable way of eating that doesn't feel like dieting. You'll have a clear, flexible framework to follow that keeps hunger and cravings in check, while still giving you freedom and enjoyment around food.
Yes. Your nutritionist will teach you how to make smart choices when dining out so that eating at restaurants doesn't derail your progress. This is a real-life program built to work with your actual lifestyle.
Most clients are surprised by how satisfied they feel. The program is built around creating balanced blood sugar which reduces hunger and stops cravings. If hunger is an issue, your nutritionist will adjust your plan.

Coaching

You will work with a full team of experienced nutrition professionals who are trained in the SOTA method and passionate about helping clients achieve lasting results.
Check-in frequency depends on your program and your needs, but most clients connect with their nutritionist on a regular weekly or biweekly basis. You'll always have access to support between sessions if questions or challenges come up.
Phone coaching is exactly like working with a nutritionist in person — just from the comfort of your home. Your coach will review your progress, discuss your food choices, troubleshoot any challenges, and update your plan as needed. It's personal, consistent, and highly effective. Most of our clients nationwide use this option.
